From Experience to Knowledge. From Knowledge to Action.

The Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM) was established in 1975 under the Women & Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. For five decades, MAVIM has worked to strengthen women's economic, social and leadership opportunities across Maharashtra.

Through its extensive grassroots network, MAVIM has supported women to build livelihoods, access financial services, develop enterprises, participate in governance and strengthen community institutions.

MAVIM has also built a strong partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since 1993, implementing landmark programmes including the Maharashtra Rural Credit Project and Tejaswini Rural Women Empowerment Project.
